21-Year-Old Breaks 9-Year-Old Kill Record – Beats the man who set him up in 2014, knocking Fnatic out

Beef is the best Netflix series of the year so

There was now an exciting record in League of Legends: Czech Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság (21) broke the record for most kills in a LEC game. The spicy thing: He set the record against Fnatic’s Rekkless of all people, throwing the team out of the playoff race. The 26-year-old Swede set the record for Fnatic in 2014.

What is that record?

  • The record is for most kills in a game by the LEC.
  • Martin “Rekkles” Larsson held the old record. He put it up in the summer of 2014. On July 17, 2014, the Swede managed 18 kills. He got the kills with Fnatic against “CW” back then – playing a squeaky clean 18/0/3 on Vayne.
  • But Carzzy was now able to rack up 19 kills on Jinx while still inflicting a painful defeat on Fnatic. But the record doesn’t look as clean as Rekkles’: In the end it was 19-5-8. The game was even, quite a chaotic bloodbath.

What was that game? It was a “best of three” series. Both teams had lost their first encounters and therefore had their backs against the wall. The losers would be eliminated from the Spring Split.

Mad Lions clearly won the first game of the match, but Fnatic won game number 2 just as clearly.

Match 3 was then a relatively even, chaotic game with many kills on both sides. Mad Lions ended up winning 38-27-99.

With over 52,000 damage, Mad Lions’ ADC was the strongest player in the match and was able to put Rekkles in his place on Sivir.

The game could have ended very differently:

How do the two react? Rekkles takes the defeat sporty. On Twitter he shows a picture of himself with a bandana and states: Even the buff from this magical part wasn’t enough.

Carzzy, on the other hand, seems to be flying high. He read before the game, “It’s great to wake up as the greatest EU ADC that has ever played the game.” He now appears to be on the hunt for a pentakill.
