Known for its food product recalls, the Rappel Conso site also lists defective items. It has just launched a recall of children’s hats. If you bought one, it is best to bring it back to the point of sale.
The temperatures are still freezing and children still need to put on a hat outside to protect them from the cold. If you bought one recently, check that it is not this model.
A beanie sold in Chaussea stores
According to the Rappel Conso site, a certain model of beanie, sold in Chaussea stores across France, is subject to a recall. This is a woolen hat, representing a polar bear, with pink pompoms, tabs to warm the ears of the child wearing it and a cord to secure it.
Why is this hat being recalled?
This model from the Nini & Girls brand has the reference 51522016 and the barcode 515220116041510. The Rappel Conso site explains that this hat is the subject of a recall due to non-compliance with standard NF EN 14682: 2015, fixing quality requirements for drawstrings for children’s clothing.
The hat therefore presents a risk of “external injuries” for the little ones who wear it. If you bought it and your child is wearing it, it is recommended that you stop putting it on and bring it back to the store for a refund.
