99-year-old woman scammed by fake police

The 99-year-old woman said that she received a phone call that she had been the victim of identity theft, and that the police would come to her home.

After that, a masked man, who pretended to be a policeman, came to the woman’s home and took both contacts and jewelry of greater value.

– It is a common modus operandi of these types of perpetrators, that they claim to be calling from the police or the bank, says Magnus Jansson Klarin at the police.

“Talk to the elderly”

The woman should not have been physically injured in connection with the incident. No one is currently a suspect.

– It may be appropriate to talk to your elders about this happening. You should be critical of if someone claims that you have been the victim of a crime. The police never contact anyone in the way that this woman has become, says Magnus Jansson Klarin.
