5 rare armors in Destiny 2 that hardly any Guardian owns

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

There are many armors in Destiny 2 that have been earned over the years. However, some of them are so rare that hardly any player knows them or has seen them. We show you 5 rare armors that will make every keeper jealous.

What armor is it? This is a wild mix of armor sets for each class. We referred to general gameplay sources, PvP, but also raids.

These are really the rarest armors, as they either had very high requirements or were simply only available for a short time and at the beginning of Destiny 2. We therefore came to the following result:

  • The first event summer solstice armor
  • Iron Banner ornaments obtained from Seasons 2 and 3 quests
  • Ornaments from the Leviathan Stargate on Prestige
  • Armor from seasons 2 and 3 faction games
  • Pristine ornaments from the Trials of the Nine
  • Below we will show you what these armors look like, how they were earned, and what makes them so rare compared to other armors in the world of Destiny 2.

    5. The first Solstice Armors of 2018

A cool and golden armor for diligent Guardians

How was the armor earned? This armor could be earned in the very first Solstice event in Destiny 2. As a new event, players had to upgrade their equipment for the first time until it could be built to the level of our icon photo.

What makes the armor so rare? The armor is so rare because it belongs to the first Solstice event. Until then, Destiny 2 players knew nothing of such an event.

Either you slept through the event at the time or the requirements were too high for you to upgrade your armor twice. Some steps even required you to complete the Prestige Raid on the Leviathan.

Your gear progression was also only valid for the class you started with. The remaining armor of the second or third Wardens had to go through the same grind ordeal again, which was an enormously tedious challenge.

    4. Iron Banner ornaments from seasons 2 and 3

How was the armor earned? In seasons 2 and 3, Lord Saladin’s armor could be earned through a challenging quest. Compared to the new quests that Lord Saladin is now imposing on the Wardens, the Wardens at the beginning of Destiny 2 still had to work hard for the cool Iron Banner armor.

What makes the armor so rare? The armor in the old Iron Banner had to be fought for at that time with diligence. The Iron Banner ornaments from Season 3 required the following items to prove themselves worthy:

  • Class Item: Reach rank 5 in Iron Banner
  • Leg Armor: Defeat 100 enemies with your Super in Iron Banner
  • Chest Armor: Defeat 100 enemies with power weapons in Iron Banner
  • Gauntlets: Complete 21 Iron Banner challenges
  • Helm: Win 25 matches in Iron Banner
  • Progress was counted account-wide, but not everyone wanted to go into Iron Banner and undergo the ordeal, so many opted out of the challenge. Because of this, the two ancient Iron Banner armors occupy the bottom spot in our list.

    3. Ornaments from the Leviathan Stargate on Prestige

You can show off these ornaments to raid players

How was the armor earned? The Praetorian Ornaments from the Stargate Raid and the Leviathan are arguably some of the rarest raid armor in all of Destiny 2. You could only get hold of these trinkets by completing the Stargate on Prestige. Prestige completion gave you the class item and the opportunity to secure the rest of the armor.

All you had to do was go through the entire Leviathan raid and complete any challenge that Calus, then the reigning Cabal Emperor, put on you. For each completed challenge there was an armor ornament.

What makes the armor so rare? The difficulty was not in completing the challenges in the Leviathan, but in mastering the Starlock on Prestige.

The final boss mechanic was considered one of the most complicated at the time. As if that weren’t enough, Prestige mode also introduced another difficulty as your enemies squeezed more damage from you. This ensured that only real PvE talents could get their hands on these ornaments.

    2. Armor from the group games from seasons 2 and 3

    Season 3 faction armor

How was the armor earned? The beginnings of Destiny 2 also included group games or group battles. You once had to choose one of three known factions and play for them in the name of the Covenant:

  • Future War Cult
  • New monarchy
  • Dead Orbit
  • Once that was done, there was a wide range of tasks to be completed in order to obtain all of the armor ornaments. Completing Lost Sectors, grenade kills, or enduring a Hard Dawn with faction armor equipped were conditions that needed to be met.

What makes the armor so rare? Unfortunately, faction battles were considered one of the least popular events in Destiny 2 at the time. They were seen as unnecessary and didn’t provide cool loot or armor like the Iron Banner. Players therefore skipped the event and did without the ornaments.

However, the players who earned these ornaments from Seasons 2 and 3 can now rejoice, because these gears are truly some of the rarest in all of Destiny 2.

    1. Flawless ornaments from the Trials of the Nine

How was the armor earned? These are the prestige ornaments from the Trials of the Nine, the precursor to the Trials of Osiris.

This armor is the rarest in the game and could only be obtained in hardcore 4v4 PvP mode Trials of the Nine. You had to have a flawless ticket and play more matches to get lucky on one of these extravagant ornaments.

What makes the armor so rare? To secure a spotless ticket in the Trials of the Nine, you couldn’t suffer a single loss.

If you have won nine matches in a row, the envoy of the nine initially only rewarded you with cool loot, but none of the ornaments. These could only be obtained after you had become flawless after winning matches.

However, you were also matched with more difficult opponents through matchmaking, which did not make it easier to obtain the ornaments. The fact that only PvP gods could actually win this armor makes it the rarest in the entire Destiny 2 universe.

But how about you? Are you one of the proud owners of these armors and did you have all of the ones we listed for you or did you miss or even ignore some of them? Let us know in the comments if you have any of these gems in your collection.
