Volodymyr Zelenskyy directs new harsh criticism at Vladimir Putin.
The armed rebellion of the Wagner group shows that the power of the Russian president is decreasing, according to the president of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly criticized Russia and Vladimir Putin after last weekend’s armed uprising carried out by the paramilitary Wagner Group. After leader Yevgeny Prigozhin withdrew his troops, the Russian president has stressed that everything is in order.
– We see Putin’s reaction. It is weak, he tells Americans CNN.
– We see that he does not have control over everything. The fact that Wagner is getting deep into Russia and taking over certain regions shows how easy it is to do. Putin has no control over the situation in the regions.
Zelensky also says that Vladimir Putin’s power in Russia is decreasing after the events in Russia.
– All the power he used to have is falling apart, he says.
“We are making progress”
In the interview, Zelenskyi also talked about the fact that the Ukrainian intelligence service received information that half of the population of Russia supported the armed rebellion of the Wagner Group.
During Monday, there has been various information about how the Ukrainian counter-offensive is progressing. According to Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar, Russian forces have gained ground in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president writes on social media that the past week has been tough on several fronts.
“But we are making progress. We are moving forward, step by step,” he writes according to the AFP news agency.
