President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has visited the liberated city of Kherson.
The liberation is described partly as a moral victory for Ukraine, partly as a strategic one.
– We are making progress. We are ready for peace, peace for our whole country, he told Ukrainian forces.
What awaits after Ukraine regained control of Kherson is unclear. In his speech on Sunday night, Zelenskyi stated that Russian forces have committed about 400 war crimes before the retreat from Kherson.
