Durigon AI doesnt scare me useful for job security

(Finance) – “I have never been afraid of AI.” This was said on the occasion of the 15th edition of the Work Festival underway in Florence by the Undersecretary of Labour, Claudio Durigon, via video link with the Fortezza da Basso. “In fact I think it’s a great support because I believe that if we manage to excel in this sector too it will be a turning point in making our country more competitive”.

Durigon also proposed the application of AI in the field of workplace safety. “Artificial intelligence must not only create production but give the possibility of safety at work which is crucial. I feel angry because so many people are still dying but we have been seeing these numbers for years, we need to change culture and if we can get helpand welcome from Ai. For example, an armed wing on this could be the Inail”.

On ITA – “We know what we went through with Alitalia and the relocation of workers. This is an important company for us in which Europe today still does not give us the certainties we should have.”
