Dr. Kassam said: “There is really no safe limit to the dose effect for these unhealthy foods and beverages, such that the more you consume, the higher the risk.
“If you’re going to eat red and processed meat, keep it to a minimum and make sure you’re eating plenty of fruit and vegetables. However, it’s best to avoid red and processed meat, and this advice is supported by important international guidelines.” To keep your stroke risk to a minimum, the doctor recommended replacing these meats with healthy fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, and seeds.
