WoW is letting Horde players into the new Alliance capital, but there is a warning

The new night elves’ capital in World of Warcraft is under threat from Horde players – at least a little. Because they are allowed to move freely there.

The war between Horde and Alliance in World of Warcraft has finally been over for several years. But that doesn’t mean that everything is now “peace, joy, pancakes” – there are still conflicts and old wounds that need to heal first. The night elves in particular will not be able to forgive many people so quickly.

However, Horde players are welcome in the new night elf capital, Bel’ameth, in patch 10.2.5.

Horde heroes are warned: If you enter the city of Bel’ameth as a Horde character, you will immediately be given a debuff, the “Eyes of the Guardians”. This says: “When you enter these lands, the eyes of the guardians are on you.” (via wowhead)

To put it simply, the Guardians are something like the night elves’ city guards. Since night elves operate primarily from the shadows, the debuff is intended to simply say: “You are being watched. Don’t do any nonsense.”

On the PTR, this buff only ensures that you have a neutral status with all NPCs in the region, so you are not automatically attacked by them.

Attacking an Alliance character doesn’t change this – but it’s likely that this is still a bug. After all, it would be strange if the sentinels simply ignored the fact that night elves were being beaten up in their new capital.

Everyone is welcome in Bel’ameth – at least for now.

Why is there Horde in Bel’ameth? In fact, you can even see a few Horde characters in Bel’ameth who are more committed to neutrality, at least over other organizations. The Tauren Hamuul Runetotem of the Cenarion Circle is present and tells Horde characters:

Amirdrassil has blossomed. Bel’ameth marks a place of healing and rest for the Kaldorei.

Part of that was because of our help. Tyrande has graciously allowed us to roam freely here.

Enjoy what this new country has to offer. Bathe in its beauty, but do not let the High Priestess regret her decision, [Charakter].

The reason for the Horde’s stay is because it was also Horde heroes who together ensured that the tree blossomed. After all, they fought side by side against Fyrakk.

Please note, however, that this is still information from the PTR – some details could change by the time Patch 10.2.5 is released.

Why is Blizzard doing this? On the one hand, there is criticism of this decision. Some night elf fans find it difficult to understand that after the loss of Teldrassil, members of the Horde are simply tolerated in the new capital and so soon after settlement.

On the other hand, this treatment also has some advantages. This means role players can benefit from a new place where RP is possible – especially in a cross-faction context. Besides, it would be a bit of a shame if this city was made possible together, but in the end only the Alliance is able to enjoy the beauty of Bel’ameth.

However, Horde players should leave their lighters at home. Otherwise this peace could change very quickly…

WoW fans should now worry about their account security because the “Authenticator” is moving.
