Emergency services were called to the address shortly after 03:00 due to the smell of smoke. When they arrived, they discovered that there was a fire in the kitchen of one of the apartments.
According to Pelle Vamstad at police region Mitt, a woman in her 80s has been taken to hospital. The extent of the damage is unclear.
At 04:15, the emergency services had extinguished the fire and left the scene, according to UNT. The police have cordoned off the home for a technical investigation.
– We do not yet know what caused the fire. When we have cleared the smoke, we can go in and investigate properly, says Pelle Vamstad.
