The woman in her 40s was found dead in an apartment in Hisingen this weekend, and the circumstances led the police to suspect that a murder had been committed.
The detained woman has been convicted of, among other things, less serious violent crimes and drug crimes on previous occasions. She also figures in an ongoing investigation regarding a serious breach of domestic peace in the Stockholm area.
Neither of the two women is listed at the address where the suspected murder took place, according to the GP. The prosecutor tells the newspaper that it was the woman who is now in custody who alerted the police herself.
