Woman fell from balcony suspected attempted murder

The neighbors were awakened by a loud noise early in the morning.

A woman hung from a balcony on the third floor and shouted for help, according to information to Aftonbladet.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A woman in her 60s was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling from a balcony on Saturday morning. The police were alerted to the scene in Hässelby farm shortly after seven o’clock.

A man was arrested and later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

According to information to Aftonbladet, neighbors must have heard screams in connection with the incident. The woman must have called for help several times. Several witnesses are said to have seen how the woman hung out of the balcony before she fell to the ground.

– There are people who have seen this from different angles and different parts of the course of events. We try to form as detailed a picture of the situation as possible, said Ola Österling, press spokesperson for the police earlier in the day.

Previously convicted arrested

Both rescue services and an ambulance were called to the scene. The woman was taken by ambulance to an ambulance helicopter which transported her on to hospital.

An area outside the apartment building was cordoned off and the police began an investigation into attempted murder. At the scene, the police interrogated witnesses and knocked on the door to get a clearer picture of what had happened. Forensic scientists investigated the crime scene.

The man who is suspected is according to information to Aftonbladet in his 50s. He has previously been convicted of, among other things, drug offenses and offenses against the knife law.
