William Poromaa’s wonderful answer – after the Norwegian superstar’s mocking gesture: “Damn, I don’t get it”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

William Poromaa came to the podium.
Then he was mocked by the winner Johannes Hösflot Kläbo.
– Damn, I don’t know what he means, says Poromaa to VG.

William Poromaa has found his form, to say the least. He has lined up strong efforts during the winter, but the real peak has been delayed. Until now. This weekend, Poromaa hit – hard – and now he is suddenly a real medal hope for the WC.

Poromaa’s answer

On Friday, Poromaa took the season’s first podium, and on Sunday’s 20 kilometer mass start, it was time again. Poromaa did lose the sprint battle against Iivo Niskanen, and he could not handle the superior Johannes Hösflot Kläbo. But it was a third place – and the second podium in as many days.

Impressive, many think. But Johannes Hösflot Kläbo was not immediately floored. After the finish, the Norwegian superstar stepped up to the Swede – and squeezed his biceps. And Poromaa was confused, but certainly didn’t take it badly.

– Damn, I think it’s really bad. But I don’t understand what the hell he means, he tells VG, and laughs.

Explanation of the star

However, Poromaa chooses to see it positively, while at the same time he believes that he set himself up for it.

– I hope he means that I have grown a little. I don’t know, we usually fight with him a bit during games and stuff like that, so it’s easy for him to fight back. But damn, I don’t know. But the atmosphere between us is great, he says.

Johannes Hösflot Kläbo agrees. He believes that it was intended as a joke, and he is also looking forward to seeing the Swede during the WC.

– I felt him to ascertain that he has a little to go on, there is little room to fill in the suit, says Kläbo to Aftonbladet, and continues:

– He shows that he is on the right track, it will be fun to see him in the WC.
