“It was nasty”

When he was driving home from Norway to Sundsvall, he was driving far too fast.

A few months later came the phone call that shook Poromaa. When he was at a training camp in Livigno, Italy, dad called Larry Poromaa to the son.
– A small letter had arrived. And it landed at mother and father’s house, so father called me, the 23-year-old tells the evening newspaper.

The letter came to the Norwegian police and the demand was very strict. They demanded that William Poromaa pay a fine or serve a prison sentence of two weeks – and the Swede was prepared for the latter.
– I told my father: “I’m going there, I can sit out for two weeks”. But it had to be paid anyway. He thought it was better, the 23-year-old admits today.
– It was SEK 12,000. So it was very unnecessary. And stupid of me.
