William Poromaa is now opening up about the time after the tough breakup with Frida Karlsson: “I’ve been quite…”

William Poromaa and Frida Karlsson were skiing’s most talked about couple.
But after seven years the relationship ended and now William opens up about the time afterwards.
– It will be special, Poromaa admits to SVT.

They found love for each other at a young age and for many years have Frida Karlsson and William Poromaa been Swedish skiing’s hottest couple. But then the news came that they chose to move apart in 2022.

Breakup with Frida

That was the start of the breakup and after the 2023 Skiing World Cup, Frida and William announced that they had broken up. But they still see each other on a daily basis and are close because they “work together” in the Swedish national skiing team.

Now William opens up about the time after the breakup and what it’s like to still have the ex-girlfriend around.
– It’s going to be special… We know each other inside and out, we were together for like seven years. We have respect for each other and it’s going well, I have no problems with doing the job, he says in the SVT program “Kallprat”.

Poromaa opens up

The SVT presenter Johan Kücükaslan then wonder what life is really like as a single person.
– No, but it’s good. It’s nice. I enjoy myself and there is a lot of focus on training. I’m fine, I don’t have to think about it much, admits William in the interview.

Then it becomes a little more uncomfortable and then it is noticeable that Poromaa blushes when he is asked the intimate question: “How many people contacted you when you and Frida broke up?”
– Yes, but it was good timing when it came out. Right after the WC, says “Wille” without going into it too much.

“But it rattled in the inbox?”, wonders Kücükaslan.
– Yes, it did, he replies with a knowing smile.
– I have been quite careful, I have tried anyway. But it has been difficult. Uh, but what the hell…, he says and doesn’t want to talk more about his private life.
