In the middle of the night in the Karrada district of Baghdad, a giant poster of Putin was hung on a wall by unidentified people on a wall.
The huge poster with the words “We support Russia” and “Friends of the President” was dismantled by special military forces in black uniforms who arrived in the area.
While the giant Putin poster hung in the center of Baghdad caused the reaction of Iraqis on social media, it started a debate in the country.
There was no statement from the Iraqi government on the matter.
Finally, the Central Bank of Iraq requested the government to cease financial transactions with Russia.
