White House: Will support Israel’s defense

The White House does not go into what form the support will be given.

“The United States will stand with the Israeli people and support their defense against these threats from Iran,” said Adrienne Watson, spokeswoman for the US National Security Council, in a statement.

    Sweden condemns

    Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz writes in a post on X that “we must all maintain our unity as a people and as a country when we face the great challenges we face. Only together will we win”.

    Sweden’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström speaks out in a written message to TT:

    “The government strongly condemns Iran’s attack on Israel. The already deteriorating security situation in the region risks escalating and entailing very serious consequences.”

    He also writes that the government is “following the situation very closely”.

    “Unprecedented”

    The EU also condemns the “unacceptable Iranian attack on Israel”, writes the Union’s head of foreign affairs Josep Borrell on X.

    “This is an unprecedented escalation and a serious threat to regional security,” writes Borrell.

    British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemns the “reckless” Iranian attack, as does French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné, as well as Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
