WhatsApp continues to be enriched with new functions. On the program: longer group descriptions, document captions, improved avatars and, above all, the possibility of sending up to 100 photos and videos at once!

WhatsApp does not rest on its laurels and, to pull the rug out from under the feet of the competition, continues to improve constantly. After adding new functions to the statuses – giving them a little Instagram look – the platform is getting new features with the 2.23.3.77 update on Android – Meta did not specify when iPhone owners will get it. right but, as usual, we imagine that it will be deployed within a few weeks. On the program: improved avatars, ability to caption documents, longer group descriptions and, above all, the ability to send up to 100 photos and videos at once!

WhatsApp 2023: new features galore

With the latest update, users can add captions to documents they send within the app, which should make it easier to find your way around – especially via the search bar – especially when there are a lot of files. sent, as in workgroups. Moreover, they can now weigh up to 2 GB at most – against 16 MB previously. Among the novelties, we also note the possibility of writing longer group titles – up to 100 characters –, as well as for descriptions – up to 2,048 characters. Meta also announces the creation of avatars for profile photos and personalized stickers. This isn’t really new, considering the feature has been available since WhatsApp version 2.22.24.73. However, there is a marked improvement in textures, especially in the hair (see our practical sheet).

The latest innovation allows you to send up to 100 photos and videos at once. Until now, the limit was set at 30 files at the same time – not very practical for users, who had to resort to sending several messages in a row. Quite a huge difference! This function had already been tested in a beta version and is now available for everyone. This should delight budding photographers!

Meta teams are working on other functions that are currently in the testing phase, as reported WaBetaInfo. Thus, users will soon be able to select the quality of images shared in conversations from two options, Standard or HD Quality, depending on the quality of the Internet connection and free storage space. They are also working on an option to transform voice messages into text when the conditions – public or noisy environment for example – do not allow the user to listen to them. Long live!
