What is a double fracture A ski accident

A double fracture refers to the fracture of a limb in which two bones are broken. It is observed in particular in the event of a skiing accident.

This can therefore be observed either at the level of the leg with a fracture of the tibia and fibulaeither at the level of the arm with a fracture of the radius and ulna (former ulna). This type of double fracture is mainly observed in athletes following violent trauma (as happens for example in the case ofski accident). Double fractures of the lower limb can also lead to damage to a branch of the sciatic nerve.
