The first real snowfall of the season is expected on Wednesday in southern Norrland. Expect about a decimetre of snow.
According to SMHI, Tuesday’s rain in the southern parts of the country will continue northwards during the evening and night. In Medelpad, Jämtland and Ångermanland, the rain turns to snow. The snow then continues a bit into Västerbotten and southern Lapland, but in smaller amounts. In northern Norrland, however, SMHI expects a break during Wednesday.
On Thursday, the heavy snow weather is over and on Friday the whole country can count on milder weather.
