Four water boards are active in the province of Utrecht. Amstel, Gooi and Vecht, the Stichtse Rijnlanden, Valley and Veluwe and Rivierenland. At all four rates have risen sharply in the last five years. But nowhere was the rise as large as with Amstel, Gooi and Vecht: 78 percent in the period 2020-2025. This year, the rate for residents of Stichtse Vecht, De Ronde Venen and parts of Utrecht and De Bilt is 12.9 percent higher on average. Nationally, the increase is more than 8 percent.
