Watch Kevin Lankinens incredible save caused a stir on

The night round of the NHL saw many great Finnish performances. Kevin Lankien saved the win, Matias Maccelli scored the winning goal and Sebastian Aho broke his assist record.

Ice hockey league in the NHL Kevin Lankinen returned handsomely to the home hall of his old club, the Chicago Blackhawks, when Lankinen denied victory to Nashville.

Lankinen started for the first time with a goal in the ranks of the visiting team in Chicago’s home hall. Nashville won 5–1. Lankinen had one assist and 25 saves in the match.

One of the saves was particularly handsome. At the end of the second period, Lankinen brought Chicago to zero Tyler Johnson. Lankinen’s save caused confusion on the live TV broadcast, when the TV graphics said that Chicago had scored a goal.

There was a wonderful save by the Finnish goalkeeper.

Moments later, Nashville compared Lankinen’s save to a robbery.

Lankinen moved to Nashville in the summer of 2022. All in all, it was the 28-year-old’s second game against his first NHL club, Chicago. Both have ended with Lankinen’s victory.

In Nashville, Lankinen has mainly worked as a second guard. The main responsibility has been borne by another Finnish goalkeeper Juice Saros. Now Saros was on a rest shift.

Lankinen was the triple star of the Chicago match. The Swedish striker from Nashville was chosen as the number one star Filip Forsbergwho scored a hat trick in the match.

Forsberg has 46 goals. It is the new goal record in Predators club history. Forsberg now also has 92 points. He is only the second player in the club’s history to reach more than 90 power points in one season. Roman Josi with 96 points in the 2021–22 season.

A winning goal for Maccelli in the middle of the commotion

of Arizona Matias Maccelli in turn sealed the victory when he scored the winning goal in overtime against Edmonton. Maccelli also recorded one goal assist in the match. Arizona won with a score of 3–2.

Canadian media Sportsnet news based on its sources that Arizona players and other team employees were told about this before the Edmonton game. According to Sportsnet, it’s possible that the move hasn’t happened right after the end of this season’s regular season because there’s still a lot of work to be done before then.

Arizona players and head coach Andre Tourigny did not comment on the matter.

Assist record for Aho

Carolina’s star forward Sebastian Aho on the other hand, missed his single-season assists record. Aho served a handsome appetizer by Jaccob Slavin to the 3–2 hit that was the winning goal. Carolina won the match against the St. Louis Blues 5–2.

Aho now has a total of 53 goal assists. It is as much as in the 2018–2019 season.

Aho has already set one of his points records this season. He has 88 power points in 77 matches.
