Utrecht has announced that it will, in consultation with AVR, look for alternative locations for the disposal of residual waste, the only waste stream that it supplies to the Rotterdam company. Vegetable, fruit and garden waste, or organic waste, and plastic go to other waste processors. What it means for waste collection in the municipality if AVR is out of operation for a longer period of time is being investigated.
