Warning for high concentrations of birch pollen

The worst enemy of many pollen allergy sufferers, the birch, has woken up in the southern half of the country.

The National Museum of Natural History’s pollen report warns of a high risk of high concentrations of birch pollen in Götaland and parts of Svealand.

According to Åslög Dahl, biologist and responsible for the pollen lab at the University of Gothenburg, the birch pollen season will last until about mid-May in the south and three weeks later in the north.

Reasonably high temperature and moderate wind is the birch’s favorite weather.
