Volvo stops producing diesel cars | SVT News

The decision is part of Volvo’s goal to be fully electrified by 2030.

– Electric powertrains are our future and superior to internal combustion engines. They generate less noise, less vibration, less service costs for our customers and zero exhaust emissions, says CEO Jim Rowan in a comment.

At the beginning of 2024, the last diesel car will be produced, Volvo states.
