Last week, the leader of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, died in a plane crash outside the Russian capital, Moscow.
Now the Kremlin states that President Vladimir Putin will not attend the Wagner manager’s funeral, reports Reuters.
Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that no detailed information about the funeral had been received because it was “a matter for the family”.
The Kremlin has previously dismissed speculation that Vladimir Putin may have ordered the assassination of the Wagner leader after the armed uprising earlier in the summer.
