The municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug states in a letter to residents that the behavior of troublemakers is unacceptable. “For many years, this period (towards the holidays) has been dominated by serious (fireworks) nuisance, vandalism, intimidation, arson, violence, public order disturbances and harassment of emergency workers. In recent weeks, everyone has undoubtedly noticed this by the large number of car fires.”
