Shortly after midnight, several callers reported a loud bang in a residential area in Södertälje.
– It’s some kind of bomb that detonated. Those who live at the address woke up to the explosion, but were not injured, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police in the Stockholm region.
An area is cordoned off pending technicians and national bomb protection.
– There is an active hunt for perpetrators, adds Wikdahl.
No one is currently in custody.
