Province of Utrecht – It was not a good evening for the water polo players from the region on Saturday. All four teams from the province that are active in the premier league fell.

First defeat ladies UZSC

The women of UZSC came into action against title competitor GZC Donk. Both clubs had won all matches prior to the meeting. After the first period the score was still 3-3, but at halftime Donk had taken the 7-6 lead.

In the last two quarters, the ladies of UZSC only managed to score once. After the third period, the score was 13-7 and the game ended in a 15-8 victory for Donk.

UZSC is second in the Eredivisie with the same number of points as Donk. But that team has played one game less.

UZSC, ZPC Amersfoort and De Linge/PCG lose

It was also not a good evening in the premier league for the men of UZSC. The team from Utrecht lost 14-9 to ZPC. This was mainly due to a poor first half. At the break, the home side already had an 8-2 lead.

The game between Het Ravijn and ZPC Amersfoort ended in 17-10. The team from Amersfoort could only keep up in the first period (3-3). After that, ZPC Amersfoort was behind the facts, making the defeat a fact.

The Linge/PCG from Leerdam is still winless. Even after the match against leader AZC. The Leerdam team was unable to create a stunt and lost 13-6. De Linge/PCG only managed to score in the third and fourth quarters. At halftime, the team faced a 6-0 deficit.

UZSC is fourth in the Eredivisie, six points behind leader AZC. ZPC Amersfoort is ninth with four points. The Linge/PCG is the pointless gate closer.
