Utrecht learns Ukrainian refugee Raisa is touched by the warm

Raïsa has lived for years in a cramped apartment in the centrally located Zhitomir, a typical Ukrainian provincial town where you can still smell the smell of Soviet times long gone. Just outside the city she also has a piece of land with a wooden house on it, her Datcha. There are fruit trees, berry and raspberry bushes and she grows vegetables and potatoes every year. That garden is her lust and her life and if the weather permits, she can be found there. “It’s too cold in the winter, but when it’s spring, you can live there for a while.”
