The COA, the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers, will arrange 2000 reception places for Ukrainians throughout the country. All places that are needed afterwards are the responsibility of the municipalities. They will receive financial compensation from the government for this, the Utrecht city council said after questions from the council. The college says it is very willing to help Ukrainians. “As a human rights city, we want to live up to our name and offer people in a vulnerable position a safe shelter.”
