Outgoing asylum state secretary Eric van der Burg informed municipalities last night that, with a few exceptions, they may stop providing reception. The third-country nationals lived in Ukraine with a temporary residence permit. After the Russian invasion they fled to the Netherlands. They received protection here, just like Ukrainians, but that stopped in March. They were given four weeks to leave the shelter. That period expired last Tuesday.
