Lauri Markkanen represented by the Utah Jazz succumbed to the league’s top team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, with 129-134 points in the NBA basketball league. Utah had won its previous six games, but now the winning streak was broken.

Markkanen scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the losing game. The Suomalaištaht was efficient as usual, as two out of four three-point shots sank into the basket and seven out of all 13 game situational shots. Markkanen played 35 minutes in the match.

The match was the seventh in a row in which the Finnish star scored at least 20 points.

From the free throw line, the Finn succeeded ten times and missed only once. Utah quarterback Collin Sexton as well as Oklahoma’s star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 points each.

Oklahoma’s aggressive and versatile offensive game gave Utah problems, especially in the opening half. The visiting team scored 40 points in the opening quarter and 37 points in the second.

Utah scored as many as 40 points in the second quarter and got within three points in the third quarter, but ultimately never led the game.

Utah remains ninth in the Western Conference, Oklahoma is second.
