USA University of Michigan consumer confidence falls in August

(Finance) – Expectation getting worse American consumer confidence in October. According to preliminary data fromUniversity of Michiganconsumer sentiment is estimated to have fallen to 63 points compared to 68.1 points in September and worse than analysts’ expectations who expected a level to decrease to 67.2 points.

During the same period the index on the present situation fell to 66.7 points from the previous 71.4 points (expectations were for 70.4 points), while the expectations index it dropped to 60.7 points from the previous 66 (the consensus was at 66.5 points).
