(Finance) – UPSan American international parcel and shipping company, has registered sales of the fourth quarter 2023 of $24.9 billion, down 7.8% from the fourth quarter of 2022. Theoperating profit was $2.5 billion, down 22.5% from the fourth quarter of 2022 and down 27.1% on an adjusted basis. Earnings per share were $1.87 for the quarter, whileadjusted earnings per share of $2.47 was 31.8% lower than the same period in 2022.

“2023 was a unique and difficult year and through it all we remained focused on controlling what we could control, stayed on strategy and strengthened our foundation for future growth,” he said Carol ToméCEO of UPS.

The revenues of theentire 2023 were $91 billion, down 9.3%, operating profit was $9.1 billion, adjusted operating profit was $9.9 billion, down 28.7%, EPS was $7.80, adjusted EPS was $8.78.

For theentire year 2024UPS predicts that revenues will range from approximately $92 billion to $94.5 billion (below analysts’ estimates of $95.57 billion, according to LSEG data) and that consolidated adjusted operating margin will range from 10.0% to approximately 10.6%. The company expects capital expenditures of approximately $4.5 billion and dividend payments of approximately $5.4 billion, subject to board approval.
