United States trade deficit rises to 674 billion worse than

(Finance) – The American trade deficit continues to grow. In January 2024, the trade balance showed a deficit of 67.4 billion dollarsincreasing compared to the deficit of 64.2 billion dollars in December 2023 (figure revised from -62.2 billion).
The data, communicated by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) of the US Department of Commerce, is worse than analysts’ estimateswhich were for a deficit a 63.4 billion of dollars.

The exports increased marginally to 257.2 billion (+0.1%), while the imports they rose to 324.6 billion dollars (+1.1%).
