Unique station wagon from Rolls Royce for sale

It is about a Rolls-Royce Silver Specter built by Niels van Roij Design in 2020. Technically speaking, the car is what is usually called a “shooting brake”, which can simply be described as a two-door coupe with a hatchback.

Basically, the Silver Specter is built on a Rolls-Royce Wraith coupé from 2015. Initially, the idea was to build seven examples of the model, but in the end only one car was completed.

It is now being auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s.

The actual work of transforming a regular Rolls-Royce Wraith into a Silver Specter was carried out by Carat Duchatelet in Belgium, who spent around 18 months and over 2,500 working hours on the project. The price tag for the work must have landed north of three million kroner.

During the conversion, the car was fitted with a sweeping roof entirely in carbon fiber, and a large decoration in matte silver around the side windows.

The interior is mostly intact from the standard car. However, the car was equipped with an “infinity starlight” interior roof, which includes just under 2,000 recessed LEDs.

The other big difference is of course the new luggage compartment, which is fitted with leather-covered walls and has a hidden compartment under the floor.

Expected to go for millions

Under the hood of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spectre, we find basically the same 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine as in a regular Wraith.

In this case, however, the engine has been scared up to an output of 700 horsepower, which should mean that the car is faster than in the standard version. A regular Rolls-Royce Wraith completes the 0 to 100 sprint in 4.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

The world’s only Rolls-Royce Silver Specter has currently covered just over 1,100 miles, and will be auctioned off at RM Sotheby’s auction in Dubai on March 9.

The car is expected to go for between 275 and 325 thousand dollars.
