According to Ukraine, the Russian warship hit by its attacks has been destroyed.

Spokesperson for the Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine Andrii Yusov says that the warship has been hit once before last year, but last night’s attacks destroyed it.

According to intelligence, seaplanes hit the ship in the vicinity of the Kerch Strait.

The military intelligence service also talks about a “sunken ship”.

The Russian state news agency Tass reports that a patrol vessel named Sergei Kotov joined the Russian Black Sea Fleet in July 2022. The vessel is intended for patrolling and protection of sea routes.

The damaged or sunken ship was nearly a hundred meters long, and its armament includes, among other things, Kalibr cruise missiles.

– The price of the sunken ship is about 65 million dollars, the military information service wrote Kyiv Independent newspaper by.

The situation of the crew is being investigated

According to spokesperson Andrii Jusov, the situation of the ship’s crew is still being investigated.

– There are dead and injured, but it is likely that some of the crew managed to evacuate, Yusov said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has not commented on the matter.

According to the Ukrainian authorities, about 20 percent of Russian missile strikes against Ukraine are launched from the Black Sea. Thus, damage to Russian ships in the area is embarrassing for Russia, writes news agency AP.
