The White House stated that ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel will restart. Stating that the two sides will meet again in Egypt, the White House statement continued: “Israel reported last night that the attacks on Rafah were limited. Uncertainties concerning the parties in the ceasefire proposal can be clarified during the talks.”
WHAT HAPPENED?
In its statement yesterday, Hamas stated that Haniyeh accepted the proposals they presented to Qatar and Egypt for the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
An Israeli official noted that they were waiting for the details of Hamas’s announcement and that they would “review Hamas’s response.” The Israeli War Cabinet later decided to continue the attacks in Rafah.
