UK tilt traffic control system will cost 100 million pounds

(Finance) – The computer problem which threw the control system into chaos air traffic in the UK could be cost up to £100 million of additional costs to be paid by the airlines. The assessment was reported by the director general of IATA, Willie Walsh.

Martin RolfeCEO of Nats – National Air Traffic Services, explained that the system generated “unreliable” flight data which caused the cancellation of more than 1,000 flights at UK airports.
