All winners at the 2024 Grammy Awards

Thomas Stenström and Dina Ögon were the evening’s big winners at the Grammy Awards, with two statuettes each. Stenström won the heavy category artist of the year, and pop of the year for the album “Superlativ 97”.

It feels good that ten years after you release your first album, someone pats you on the back and tells you that you’re good. It is also very nice to be able to pay tribute to all those who have been there and helped me, says Stenström after the gala.

However, there were no awards in the album, song and lyricist categories of the year. Instead, it was Dina Ögon who won the award for album of the year, for “Oas”. The Grammy debutantes also took home the award as alternative pop of the year for the album.

I’m speechless, thanks to everyone involved who helped make this record. I am so happy, said Anna Ahnlund when they accepted the award.

This year’s newcomer started on Tiktok

The falu band Bolaget were nominated for four awards, and won in the song of the year category with “Ikväll igen”. The song was the most streamed in Sweden last year.

This year’s newcomer was Eah Jé, for the attention-grabbing ep “A small song idea”. His music career took off when he started sharing snippets of songs he wrote on Tiktok. Last year he made a big splash, not least after Bianca Ingrosso shared his single “Beroendefkallande” to her 1.4 million followers on her Instagram account.

It means a lot to me, I’m very insecure about myself like that and never think I’m good enough, so it feels great that someone else does it, he says.

Orup received the honorary award

Rapper C Gambino won the Hip-Hop of the Year category for his total annual output. Among them is the single “G63”, which reached second place on the Svensktoppen. The masked Gothenburg rapper also released the EPs “Silent hills” and “Mob” last year, and has over a million listeners a month on Spotify.

This year’s honorary award went to Thomas Eriksson, better known as Orup. The award was presented by his son, Kid Eriksson, and he accepted it to a standing ovation.

Composer Ludwig Göransson won an award for the music to the hit film “Oppenheimer”, in the category composer of the year. It’s his third award for the soundtrack to the film, which was awarded seven statuettes at the Academy Awards in March. Göransson was not present during the gala, but thanked for the award in a pre-recorded video.

The only act during the gala was the poet and writer Amer Sarsour, when he danced with a Palestinian shawl in his hand together with the artist Simon Superti. On the red carpet before the gala, several artists wore a green pin with an olive tree, a symbol that, according to Amnesty, stands for peace and demands for a cease-fire in Gaza.

The comedy couple Marie Agerhäll and Jesper Rönndahl were the presenters and artists such as Molly Sandén, Hooja and Oskar Linnros performed during the evening.
