Two years since the storm: “Shouldn’t have happened”

Today marks two years since the storming of the US Congress building in Washington.

The legal aftermath continues and the sixth of January will be marked as a dark day in American history for a long time to come.

– People got scared, because our country should be safer. It shouldn’t be able to happen so easily, says student Paul Farah.

After the storming of Congress, there were military personnel and cordons throughout Washington, It felt and looked almost like a city under siege.

Now it looks as usual again and ahead of the second anniversary, the public has been welcomed back into the Capitol for the first time.
