The fire occurred at two o’clock and started in a conservatory. At first there was a great risk of spreading and several residents in the area had to leave their homes during the extinguishing work.
The conservatory was completely destroyed and two terraced houses suffered damage to the facade, but no one was physically injured. Exactly how the fire started is unclear, but the police have drawn up a report of public negligence.
