Two people killed in four-vehicle crash on Queen’s Line

Stolen vehicle investigation leads to arrest

Two people were killed in a four-vehicle crash on Queen’s Line at Dillon Road on Friday around 7 pm, reports Chatham-Kent police.

Preliminary investigation reveals a 27-year-old Windsor man was traveling east on Queen’s Line when his vehicle collided with a pickup truck traveling west on Queen’s Line, police said.

The man’s vehicle then collided with an older model Buick, that had five occupants, and was traveling directly behind the pickup truck, police said.

Two occupants of the Buick were pronounced deceased on scene, police said.

Out of respect for the families, the names of the two deceased will not be released at this time, police said.

All other occupants involved were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

A fourth vehicle was indirectly involved when it veered off the roadway to avoid the crash, police said.

The collision remains under investigation by the traffic management unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Josh Flikweert at 519-355-1092 or [email protected].
