Two men are wanted in custody after the murder in Skärholmen

On Wednesday, 39-year-old Mikael was shot to death in front of his 12-year-old son in Skärholmen.
After the murder, two men have been arrested and detained, suspected of grossly protecting a criminal.
Detention proceedings against the men begin today.

Mikael, 39, was shot in the head in an underpass in Skärholmen on Wednesday after he reprimanded a youth gang. The police have deployed large resources in the hunt for the suspects and a large number of police have worked in Skärholmen.

– The police and I have worked hard throughout the weekend, said prosecutor Ove Jäverfelt to TV4 Nyheterna.

Four days after the murder, the police were able to arrest two men, 17 and 18 years old, suspected of grossly protecting a criminal.

On Monday, the prosecutor requested that both men be remanded in custody, and the negotiations will begin in Södertörn district court on Tuesday. The first of the negotiations begins in the morning and the second begins after lunch.

Arrested on Saturday night

According to the arrest warrant, the 17-year-old is suspected of having committed the crime sometime during the same evening that Mikael was murdered, until Friday evening.

The two men were arrested on Saturday evening, just hours after they were arrested in their absence.

The 18-year-old is also requested to be detained for aggravated protection of a criminal, the suspected act must have taken place on Friday evening.

Details: Washed a bike

According to information to Aftonbladet one of the suspected men is said to have washed a bicycle that is connected to the incident, he is also said to have had a bottle of acetone on him when the police checked him.

Several people are also said to have been seen leaving the underpass where Mikael was shot to death on so-called “fat bikes”.
