A Doctors Without Borders (MSF) team was attacked in Burkina Faso on Wednesday 8 February. The humanitarian NGO condemns the assassination of two of its Burkinabè employees and suspends its medical activities in the Boucle du Mouhoun, in the north-west of the country, where the attack took place.

According to the organization MSF, Wednesday morning February 8, on the road between Dédougou and Tougan, a team was the target of shots. The vehicle was however clearly identified as belonging to the NGO, according to MSF. On board was a crew of four.

Two Burkinabè employees died in the attack. One was a driver, the other a logistics supervisor. They were 39 and 34 respectively. Their two colleagues survived and managed to escape.
