Eintracht Spandau, the LoL team of Twitch streamer HandOfBlood, is currently having a “fever dream of a run”. Olaf Scholz is personally invited to the final.
What kind of invitation is this? On April 26, 2024, HandOfBlood addressed Olaf Scholz personally on X, formerly Twitter. He warmly invited the Federal Chancellor to come to Spandau and take part with him in the broadcast of the EMEA Masters final, for which his LoL team qualified.
The Twitch streamer explains that it is something like the Champions League and points out that French President Emmanuel Macron cheered on “his” team in 2022.
It’s not entirely clear how serious the Twitch streamer is about the offer – but if a content creator can be trusted to sit down in a stream with Olaf Scholz and discuss League of Legends together, it’s certainly HandOfBlood.
After all, he already had the mayor of Spandau as a guest on his stream – so it’s just a small jump to becoming the Federal Chancellor. Unfortunately, there is currently no reaction, let alone an official commitment.

Eintracht Spandau soon to be European champions?
What is the special occasion? On Sunday, April 28, 2024, Eintracht Spandau will compete in the final of the EMEA Masters. This is the championship for the Europe, Africa and Middle East region. This is a big deal, because despite its great popularity on social media, the LoL team at HandOfBlood hasn’t been able to do much in terms of play so far.
The previous season was also rather bumpy for Spandau. In the German-speaking Prime League they only came 5th and barely qualified for the playoffs. But then Eintracht scored one victory after another and finally brought the championship title to Spandau.
The Twitch streamer NoWay also had a team in the running with NNO. He describes Eintracht Spandau’s run as an “absolute fever dream”.
Things also went great in the group phase of the EMEA Masters: Eintracht Spandau became group winners with 5 wins and one defeat. In the final, Spandau will have to compete against the Turkish team Beşiktaş Esports. It starts at 5:00 p.m. – with or without Olaf Scholz.
