Twitch streamer Asmongold gets so badly hit by the new action game from the Elden Ring makers that he ends Steam

As an MMO veteran, Twitch streamer Asmongold should be used to difficult boss fights, but an opponent in FromSoftware’s latest game has him desperate.

What kind of game is this? Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon (PC, Console) is the latest game from Japanese developer studio FromSoftware, which is responsible for the award-winning titles: Elden Ring, the “Dark Souls” series, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Bloodborne, among others.

Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon (AC6) is an action game in which you control a heavily armed mech and fight massive battles with it. Mechs are fighting machines resembling massive robots, but are often controlled by humans.

In AC6, you can customize your mech with different parts to suit your playstyle or the conditions of a battle. In addition to various fighting styles, the mechs have enormous mobility and can perform fast movements both on land and in the air.

A special feature of Armored Core IV’s gameplay is that – as is to be expected from FromSoftware games – there is a fairly high level of difficulty with demanding boss fights.

Rage Quit in Armored Core 6

Why did Asmongold end the stream? Asmongold did a boss fight against the IA-13: Sea Spider in AC6 that lasted 4 hours and streamed the whole thing live on Twitch (via Twitch).

Again and again the Twitch streamer had to accept devastating defeats. At some point, plagued by frustration and humility, he could no longer stand it in his never-ending desperation and drew a temporary line:

“I’m done. I don’t even know what killed me. I have no idea what the fuck killed me. I don’t even know what it was. Oh my damn god. […] All right, let’s try tomorrow […]. I will go to sleep now. I’m so tired.”

Asmongold then ended the stream. You can see a clip of his rage quits on YouTube:

Despite the rage quit and the high level of frustration on the part of Asmongold in the meantime, the streamer should still experience a happy ending in his fight with the Sea Spider: just one day later, when Asmongold threw himself into the boss fight again during a live stream, he should finally as emerge winners.

Who is Asmongold anyway? Asmongold, or Zackrawrr, is probably the biggest MMORPG streamer on Twitch, where he shows various MMOs and other games that involve a lot of grinding.

In the past few weeks and months, games such as Diablo 4, Wayfinder and Remnant 2 have been shown on his channels in addition to AC6. On top of that, the streamer spends a lot of time in the “Just Chatting” category, responding to various videos and gaming news.

While Asmongold has over 3.4 million followers on his main channel, but hardly uses it anymore, his second channel has “only” 1.4 million followers. Nevertheless, he prefers to stream there than on his main channel and revealed in September 2022 that a return to his main channel even triggers panic attacks in him.
