ARERA Gradual Protection Service for non vulnerable domestic customers

(Finance) – ARERA approved a first emergency measure which suspends the payment of bills of water, electricity and gas (including LPG and other gases distributed through ducted networks) to protect users and supplies located in the territory of the provinces of Florence, Livorno, Pisa, Pistoia and Prato affected by the exceptional events meteorological occurred starting from November 2, 2023. In analogy and continuity with i measures already approved for the events that occurred last May, resolution 519/2023/R/com will be applied to utilities and supplies located in the territories of the affected Municipalities, which will be promptly identified by the competent authorities.

Between bills suspended include all those issued or to be issued with expiration starting from 2 November 2023, including any invoices relating to the fees expected from the sellers or managers of the Integrated Water Service for connection, activation, deactivation, transfer or takeover. Furthermore, to guarantee the use of essential services in the affected areas, the regulation of suspensions for non-payment will not apply, even in the case of arrears occurred prior to the same date of November 2, 2023.
