President Joe Biden is not someone American auto workers can trust. That was the message when Donald Trump held an election rally in Michigan, where thousands of employees at several car factories went on strike.

– Joe Biden claims he is the most pro-union president in history. It’s nonsense. Think about it. His entire career has been one act of economic betrayal and union busting, Trump claimed at a non-union factory.

Former President Trump, who faces criminal charges in several parallel court cases, spoke as his Republican rivals renewed their battle to become the party’s nominee in next year’s presidential election.

And despite his absence, the 77-year-old became something of a protagonist in the televised debate.

– You duck these things and let me tell you what will happen. If you keep going like this, nobody here will call you Donald Trump anymore, we’ll call you Donald Duck,” former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie — who is the former president’s most outspoken critic among the candidates — said to boos.

In addition to Christie, Trump’s main rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, as well as political newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Trump’s Vice President Mike Pence were on stage in Simi Valley, California.
